Y2K projects overwhelm corporate America in time and expense changing the career paths for many IT workers from direct employees to contract workers.  During this decade there were more jobs than people allowing IT contractors to increase their hourly rates significantly.  This was the best of times.

1997:  Former software engineer, Allison Smith, joins ISSI as a technical recruiter working on IT direct and contract positions for local companies.  Services offered by ISSI include contracting services, temp to perm as well as continuing to offer direct hires.

2001:  Allison Smith becomes equity partner managing the ISSI recruiting team. Elaine Stewart begins retirement and relocates to Titusville, Florida.
