Job Title: EDI Analyst/Support
Location: On-site in Syracuse, NY
Job Type: Full-time, direct hire
Salary Range: $25–$28/hr, depending on experience


About the Role:
A growing company is seeking an EDI Support Analyst to support and enhance its electronic data interchange processes. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring accurate, timely data transmission between internal systems and external partners. The position requires a balance of technical troubleshooting, business analysis, and cross-departmental collaboration—ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex data flow challenges and engaging with stakeholders at all levels.


Key Responsibilities:

EDI Operations & Support

  • Monitor and troubleshoot EDI transmissions to ensure data accuracy and timely resolution of errors

  • Collaborate with external trading partners to manage EDI onboarding, workflows, and compliance

  • Maintain and update EDI documentation and integration records

  • Support migration efforts from legacy EDI platforms to SaaS-based solutions

  • Perform audits to validate EDI activity and ensure regulatory and operational compliance

Business & Technical Analysis

  • Act as a liaison between internal business teams and technical staff

  • Translate business requirements into EDI-compatible workflows

  • Map and trace data across ERP (Microsoft Dynamics GP), WMS, and custom systems

  • Document and troubleshoot integrations while building internal support content

Customer Service & Communication

  • Engage with external technical and non-technical contacts to resolve issues

  • Provide empathetic, clear support regardless of user's technical ability

  • Work collaboratively with IT, operations, and vendors

Project Management

  • Assist with prioritization and scheduling of EDI-related projects

  • Support the implementation and testing of new system workflows


Qualifications:

Education:

  • Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field

Experience:

  • 2+ years supporting EDI systems, IT operations, or technical business functions

  • Previous exposure to distribution, warehousing, or manufacturing is preferred

Technical Skills:

  • Familiarity with MS SQL Server; ability to write basic queries preferred

  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP and/or WMS platforms preferred 

  • Understanding of SaaS-based EDI platforms (e.g., SPS Commerce)

Soft Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking

  • Clear verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
