Job Title: Electronics Technician
Location: Syracuse, NY
Job Type: Full-time, direct hire
Salary Range: $42,000 – $52,000
About the Role:
We are seeking an Electronics Technician to support both development and production activities within a dynamic manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for assembling, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing a broad array of electronic systems and components. Ideal candidates will have hands-on experience, a collaborative approach, and a strong foundation in electronics.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform root-cause analysis and rework on failed units from production and field returns

Recommend corrective actions to improve product quality and reduce rework frequency

Collaborate with engineering on layout diagrams and assembly troubleshooting

Assemble experimental and prototype circuits, including breadboards

Suggest improvements for manufacturability and maintenance ease

Set up test fixtures and perform functional, environmental, and life cycle testing

Analyze test results and document findings in technical reports

Calibrate and align electronic systems to meet design criteria

Generate technical documentation such as schematics and performance charts

Validate systems under real-world and simulated conditions
Qualifications:
Education:
-
Associate degree in Electronics, Engineering Technology, or related field, or equivalent hands-on training
Experience:
-
1–2 years of experience in electronics testing, troubleshooting, or repair
Technical Skills:
-
Proficient with standard diagnostic tools and electronic test equipment
-
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office tools and data entry systems

Ability to interpret schematics and use soldering/hand tools for repairs
Certifications:
-
None required, but relevant certifications in electronics repair or safety are a plus
Soft Skills:

Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills

Comfortable working independently and collaboratively

Strong communication skills and ability to follow technical instructions
