Job Title: Enterprise Automation Engineer (ServiceNow)
Location: Remote (East Coast)
Job Type: Full-time, direct hire
Salary Range: $110,000 – $130,000 annually depending on experience
About the Role:
A growing, technology-driven organization is seeking an Automation & AI Solutions Engineer to design, build, and support scalable automation, workflow, and AI-enabled solutions across the enterprise. This role sits within the Enterprise Platforms team and partners closely with business stakeholders to translate operational needs into efficient, platform-based solutions.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys building practical solutions, improving business processes, and leveraging modern tools to drive efficiency. The ideal candidate brings experience across workflow automation, low-code platforms, integrations, and emerging AI technologies, along with the ability to balance speed, usability, scalability, and governance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement workflows and automations using platforms such as Microsoft Power Platform, ServiceNow, and related enterprise tools
- Build scalable, reusable solutions that replace manual, repetitive, or inefficient business processes
- Evaluate business requirements and determine the most appropriate platform or tool for each use case
- Develop and support AI-enabled solutions using technologies such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, or similar tools
- Identify opportunities to apply automation and AI to improve productivity, decision-making, and operational efficiency
- Integrate systems using APIs, connectors, and data flows to support end-to-end process automation
- Design maintainable and scalable solutions that can be reused across teams and departments
- Partner with business stakeholders and analysts to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Communicate solution design, tradeoffs, risks, and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences
- Contribute to governance standards for workflows, data usage, solution architecture, and platform adoption
- Support and guide third-party vendors delivering platform-based or automation-related solutions
- Document solutions, configurations, and best practices to promote knowledge sharing and long-term supportability
- Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement and expanded automation across the organization
Qualifications:
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or a related field preferred
- Equivalent combination of education and practical experience will be considered
Experience
- 3–6+ years of experience building solutions using Microsoft Power Platform, ServiceNow, or similar workflow and automation platforms
- Hands-on experience developing workflows, automations, low-code applications, or platform-based business solutions
- Experience working across multiple enterprise platforms and selecting the right solution for business needs
- Experience partnering with business stakeholders to deliver automation and process improvement initiatives
- Experience supporting or contributing to enterprise platform governance and standards is a plus
Technical Skills
- Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Automate and Power Apps
- ServiceNow or similar enterprise workflow platforms
- API integrations, connectors, and data flows
- Experience with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, or similar solutions
- Understanding of solution design principles related to scalability, maintainability, and reuse
- Familiarity with process automation, workflow design, and enterprise application integration
Certifications
- Microsoft Power Platform certifications are a plus
- ServiceNow certifications are a plus
- AI, automation, or cloud platform certifications are helpful but not required
Soft Skills
