Job Title: Applications Developer
Location: Central New York
Job Type: Full-time, direct hire
Salary Range: $105,000 – $120,000 annually depending on experience
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Applications Developer to join our Information Technology team. This position is responsible for the development, maintenance, support, and enhancement of enterprise applications, system integrations, reporting solutions, workflow automation, and collaboration platforms. The Applications Developer will serve as the primary technical resource for the organization's SharePoint environment while partnering with stakeholders across the business to improve operational efficiency through technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the subject matter expert for the SharePoint environment, including administration, content management, site structure, navigation, governance, and user experience enhancements.
- Design, develop, maintain, and support custom enterprise applications and business solutions.
- Develop and maintain integrations between internal systems and third-party applications using APIs and related technologies.
- Evaluate existing applications and implement enhancements, upgrades, and modifications to improve performance and functionality.
- Create, maintain, and support reporting solutions, database objects, workflows, and automation tools utilizing SQL-based technologies.
- Develop and support SQL Server databases, stored procedures, and reporting services.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify process improvement opportunities and implement technology-driven solutions.
- Support enterprise workflow automation and business process optimization initiatives.
- Coordinate with external vendors, consultants, and implementation partners on system upgrades, deployments, and projects.
- Maintain technical documentation, application configurations, system procedures, and administrative records.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues within complex enterprise systems and highly integrated application environments.
- Provide technical guidance and knowledge transfer to team members and end users.
- Adhere to established operational, security, and change management procedures.
Qualifications:
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in application development and enterprise systems support.
- Experience designing, developing, and supporting enterprise business applications.
- Proven experience supporting highly integrated enterprise environments.
- Experience working with software vendors, consultants, and third-party implementation partners.
- Experience supporting workflow automation and business process improvement initiatives preferred.
Technical Skills
- Strong SharePoint administration and development experience.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server.
- Experience developing stored procedures and relational database solutions.
- Strong experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
- Proficiency with Visual Studio development tools.
- Experience developing and supporting API-based integrations.
- Knowledge of database design, reporting, and workflow automation technologies.
- Experience with PowerShell scripting and application deployment tools preferred.
- Familiarity with enterprise collaboration, document management, and intranet platforms preferred.
Certifications
- Relevant Microsoft, SharePoint, SQL Server, or application development certifications are a plus.
